7 Easy Ways To Support Bloggers (So why wouldn't you?)

by - 16.7.17

One of the best parts about blogging is finding other people who do the same thing that you do. Fellow bloggers are what make the experience twice as much fun and for that, they deserve some credit. Even if you don't blog, here are some things that you can do to show your support for your favourite blogs. I originally had 8 things, but I combined the last two because I like prime numbers. Just thought I'd let you know. You're very welcome!

1. COMMENT

Talk to them. Talk to me. Hi, my name is Nikita and I love to talk (if you haven't worked that out already which you probably have). Sharing your thoughts enables a discussion between you and the blogger. We are all humans and (mostly) all of us love interaction. Leave a positive comment and I'm sure it'll make their day.

2. SHARE THEIR POSTS

Sharing posts that you've read and really enjoyed will give the blogger more exposure. I did that post where I shared 12 Blog Posts You Need to Read (check it out if you haven't already! no one's sharing my posts so I might as well do it myself ahaha). When I did that post, Lauryn @ the Skinny Confidential, who is such an AMAZING person, shared it on her Twitter. That post became one of my most viewed posts.

3. MENTION THEM IN A BLOG POST

If you're stuck for ideas on what to write about, you can share blog posts or bloggers you enjoy reading. Talk about them in a favourites post. I'm sure that they will return the favour or thank you in return. You may just make some new friends. Steph @ Social Spying did a post a while ago where she shared 60 Blogs she enjoyed reading. She very kindly mentioned me, and I still get traffic from that post till this date. (See what I did there. I did exactly what I told you to do. I'm such a good human being because I follow my own advice!)

4. GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM

The key word here is CONSTRUCTIVE people. Please don't go around bashing other bloggers. If you don't like them or their content, then just don't say anything at all, thanks.

Personally, I love hearing what people have to say about my blog that could help improve it. It's especially helpful when it's something I'm still learning like photography related things (lighting, flat lays, editing). I'm a lost soul when it comes to all that jazz. Bloggers are always looking to improve and who better to tell them how than their readers right?

5. TELL YOUR FRIENDS

If you don't have a blog, then tell your friends about them. Most likely, if you love them, your friends will love them too. Maybe you find a revision blogger you love and you think that their advice could be useful for your friends who are maybe struggling in a specific subject. You'll be helping both your friend and the blogger out!

6. GIVE THEM IDEAS

Even the best bloggers can struggle with deciding what to post. It is SOOOO HELPFUL when the people who read the blog, tell the blogger what they would like to see more of. Numbers are one way of knowing, but I would rather hear from people. While we're on the topic, you should tell me what posts you would like to see. Hearing feedback and ideas is what puts me on the right track.

7. SHARE BRANDS AND COLLAB

Some bloggers regularly work with brands. If you work with a beauty brand and think that someone's blog would be a good fit, then you should shout them out to the brand. It'll give the blogger experience and a great opportunity if it all works out. I'm sure they'll be grateful for that.

You can also collab with them on a post. That way, both blogs will get some traffic and a new set of eyes. You never know; you may get along very well!

I challenge you to do at least one of these things for three different blogs. I would love for you to comment your blog and I'll be checking them ALL out!

I appreciate every single person who comments and everyone who takes time out of their day to stop by my blog.

Please don't leave follow for follow comments. I really don't like them. You can however leave a link to your blog and I will check it out. If I like it, then I'll follow xx Nikita
