Sleek Cleopatra's Kiss Highlighting Palette Review

Sleek is a drugstore brand that I've mentioned before in my 5 Brands I Love and Want to Try More Of post. I did some research into their products but I couldn't decide which ones to pick up and try first. I always like my first experience with a brand to be good and it definitely was! The Sleek Cleopatra's Kiss Highlighting Palette is one of their three palettes I believe. I know that Solstice is the most popular one and that many of you may have heard of it already, but there aren't that many people who have tried this one, plus I liked the shades a LOT more.

PACKAGING AND COST

The palette is a reflective/mirrored golden plastic packaging. It feels lightweight but not easily breakable. The closure is magnetic, which can I say is really satisfying. Like I can just here all day opening and closing the palette. Okay moving on from that, I will say that I'm not fan of the mirrored outside. Fingerprints and makeup marks get all over it so easily and it just starts to look messy and ugly.

SHADES

I really like how there are two cream shades and two powder ones. All the shades are so wearable which is why I don't understand why this palette isn't more popular than the Solstice one. There isn't a single shade in here that you wouldn't use so you're definitely getting your money's worth.

The first shade is a powder highlighter called Sphinx. The second one is a cream highlighter called Delta. The first shade in the second row is again a cream and is called Dynasty. And the final shade is a powder highlighter once more and is called Goddess.

Sphinx: a deeper golden shade
Delta: a more brown toned golden cream shade
Dynasty: a yellow mixed with a bit of icy champagne cream shade
Goddess: a pinky shade with icy white undertones

I've tried to describe them the best as possible but you can see what they're like in the swatches. They were done with one swipe of product.

(From Top to Bottom) Sphinx, Delta, Dynasty, Goddess

THE PRODUCT

Starting off with the cream highlighters. Dynasty is probably the least pigmented out of the four. The cream felt a bit lumpy at first use, but afterwards it worked fine. I love pairing Delta and Sphinx (the top two shades) with each other because they complement each other so damn well. Personally, I think that the cream highlighters work best underneath powder but they're still easy to apply on top of powder as well. I just feel like if you want to layer a cream and a powder, it might end up being too blinding. I mean you do you girl! But it's all down to preference, and even though I don't shy away from a bold highlight, it may not be the right thing for everyday wear.

The powder highlighters are insane! INSANE! They're so comparative to higher end highlighters. For example, the shade Sphinx is so similar to my Jeffree Star Dark Horse highlighter. There may be differences in terms of longevity but none that are evident enough for me to be able to tell.

My plan is to try it on my shoulders when I next wear an off the shoulder top because I think it would look absolutely beautiful and like a glowing goddess. And who doesn't want to look like a goddess who has braced this earth straight from the heavens? I KNOW I DO!

OVERALL

Overall, 100% worth it! I would definitely recommend picking this up. It's a gorgeous product with stunning shades that will suit everyone and the best part is that they're all wearable.

Have you tried any Sleek products? Which are your favourite?
x Nikita
