CATRICE Prime and Fine Luminous Primer Review

by - 25.10.17

Catrice Cosmetics is the sister brand of Essence Cosmetics. They both create amazing quality products for an affordable price, as well as being cruelty free and they always have things that follow the latest trends.

I had tried a few things from Catrice's Prime and Fine range and LOVED them so when this came out, I wanted to get my hands on it and give it a go. It's a relatively new product however both Catrice and Essence have come out with full new ranges this Summer, and these ranges include a few new primers as well.

THE PACKAGING AND COST

At 4.59 Euros, the Catrice Prime and Fine Luminous Primer comes in a shimmery, golden squeezy tube containing 30ml of product. I would say that you need to be careful whilst squeezing out the product as it is slightly more on the liquidy side, however it's not really that big of a deal. Nothing to stress about! It definitely won't leak everywhere because the lid is really secure. The tube is smooth so I'm assuming that it will be easy to clean if you get any product on it. It's also quite thin so it's compact and easy to travel with.

THE PRODUCT

The primer itself has a slightly liquidy formula. When you blend it out onto your skin, it has a tacky texture which I like because it makes me feel like my makeup is sticking onto my face properly. It fills your pores so. damn. well. I have some pores near my nose and these filled them right up. You could hardly tell I had them in the first place. One of my favourite things about this primer, is that it looks stunning by itself as well. I wore just this on my face and set it with a bit of powder, et voila. Literally give you the most healthy, natural glow. Makeup sits beautifully on top, but I don't notice much difference with the wear time of this primer versus my other primers. It sinks easily into the skin.

If you're sensitive to scents, then maybe skip this one. The scent does go away after a couple of minutes but it doesn't bother me (probably because my nose is blocked 12 months of the year).

OVERALL

Definitely pick up this primer! I honestly loved it. If you have any other primers from this range, then the formula isn't that different except for the fact that you get that added luminosity. If you haven't tried any primers from Catrice before, then this is a great place to start and you should definitely go for it.

What are some of your favourite primers?
x Nikita
