Something a lil' better at removing eye makeup than Micellar Water

by - 29.11.17

I used to be a die hard fan of micellar water, and I'm not saying that I don't enjoy using it anymore, because I do. But I think (actually I'm pretty sure) that I've found something that works WAYY better to remove eye makeup. And the best part is, it's just as affordable.

HEMA is a brand that I haven't talked about much on my blog, but I have previously reviewed their CC Perfecting Foundation. I do want to try out more of their products because I've been really impressed by what I've tried so far. Today, review is of the Bye Bye Eye Makeup 2 Phase Eye Remover Lotion.

THE PACKAGING

There's not much to say about the packaging of this to be honest. It's a standard plastic bottle with a small hole at the top for you to use to pour out the product onto a cotton pad. The best part about this is, that it's only 1.75 Euros for 125ml. That's insane! Normally, the same volume of Garnier Micellar Water is just under double the price.

THE PRODUCT

I had never heard of a 2 phase eye makeup remover before this one. I've used makeup wipes, pads and micellar water but the concept of mixing a removing liquid with a removing oil is definitely something new to me. To use this, you basically shake the bottle so that both liquids are mixed together (it all turns blue) and then you put it onto a cotton pad.

And honestly, I regret not trying this before! One cotton pad of this product is enough to get rid of my mascara and pencil liner from both my eyes. If you use this with eyeshadow, you will need to use two cotton pads but it's still not that much. It's really quick, you literally rub the product off your eye for about 1-2 mins (not even!) and voila, all gone!

It's nice and gentle on the eyes and there's no scent. You can actually feel the oil around your eyes afterwards which I like because it makes me feel like something is actually working. I know that's a bit strange but roll with me please. You do have to wipe that off with a tissue or a towel but that's not a big deal.

OVERALL

UH-MAZING product! I 10000% recommend this and even if you can't buy this specific one, I would suggest looking into this type of eye makeup remover as it's so effective, yet so gentle on the eyes.

Have you ever tried a remover like this?

  2. I never used an actural makeup remover lotion before, I have always used the basic soap and water and I have to srcub really hard so if you can use one cotton pad to get off your makeup then I definitely have to try out this product.
